“BLACKBERRY AND APPLE TEA”

1          thinly sliced dessert apple, do not peel or core

1-3/4  cups freshly boiled water

2          tsp. blackberry leaves

 

Put the apple slices in a saucepan with the water and bring to a boil.

Lower the heat, stir in the blackberry leaves, and simmer for five minutes.  Remove from the heat, mash the apple with a fork, and strain the tea through a sieve into a warmed tea pot.   Pour at once through a tea strainer.
